Chapter Six Part One
2 months after Emma has given birth she starts to feel depressed... Torres: so how are you feeling this morning babe? {He asked Emma as she got out of bed}
Emma: not too bad; I wish you'd stop asking
Emma had been feeling like this for a while now, she felt differently towards Fernando...Emma: I’m going to sort Chloe out
Emma went to go and feed Chloe; she wasn't doing well at the moment and kept waking up in the night...Torres: how's she doing? {He shouted upstairs to Emma}
Emma: Fine just like me if you stop asking {she whispered under her breath}
To Sarah & Rafa...Sarah: so babe, you ready to go out?
Rafa: why where are we going now?
Sarah: well I promised Emma we'd go and see baby Chloe we haven't seen her yet, I think she's feeling upset
Rafa: Ohh yeah ok what she upset about?
Sarah: not sure she wouldn't say, might be about Fernando; you know how you can be depressed after the birth
Rafa: Ohh ok well I hope she tells you
Rafa and Sarah drive off to Emma and nando's... Sarah knocks on the door...Emma: heyya babe, come in and you Rafa
Sarah: how are you Hun?
Emma: well not too bad, at least the soreness has gone now, and being kept awake half the night by Chloe
Sarah: awww bless how it Chloe can I see her
Emma: yeah course you can
Emma and Sarah go upstairs to the cot...Sarah: awww she soo cute can I hold her?
Emma: course you can
Emma hands the baby over gently...Sarah: oh blimey she's heavy already and she looks like nando, she has his freckles and everything
Emma: she should be how much milk she drinks and yeah like two peas in a pod those two
Sarah: what do you mean?
Emma: he getting on my nerves keeps asking how Chloe is & how I feel probably half the reasons why I’m depressed & broad hasn’t spoke to me since we got back from honeymoon I’m slightly worries wrong with him
Sarah: oh babe, it must be annoying, he can get overprotective, what's wrong with Stuart I wonder? Maybe you should ring him soon...
To broady and Nadine...Broad: answer the phone Nadine I’m just sorting something out
Nadine: okay babe
Nadine goes to answer the phone...Nadine: hello?
Louise (her mom): hello dear, how are you doing?
Nadine: hello mum I’m fine thanks and you
Louise: yeah I and your dad are fine; we were just missing you that are all, you ain't been over in a while {laughs} would you be able to come over for the week soon?
Nadine: yeah I’m sure you will be able i will ask broad if it alright aswell
Louise: yeah Stuart can come too; we'd love to see him
Nadine: see you soon then, next Monday okay?
Louise: yeah great darling, see you then
They put down the phone...Broad: who was that one the phone
Nadine: oh it was my mom ain't spoken to her in ages; she wants us to go over to Ireland for the week on Monday
Broad: why can’t they come over here?
Nadine: because they wanted us over there, you can come too
Broad: oh right well I spose that's okay, it'll be nice to get away
3 days later and Nadine and broady have arrived in Northern Ireland after a 4 hour drive and 1 hour on the boat...Nadine: so we're nearly here now {she said as they were walking from the boat}
Broad: awww nice {she whispered under her breath} I really don’t want to be here
Broad and Nadine carried on longer to her mom's 4 bedroom estate with double garage and an acre of land...Broad: that a big house looks nice
Nadine: are you just trying to worm your way into my mom and dad's good books?
Broad: me? Of course not? {He smiled}
Nadine: yeah I’m sure you’re not
Nadine and broad walked up the path and knocked on the door...Louise: hey darling {smiles}
Nadine: hello mum
Louise: and Stuart; nice to meet you [she kisses him on the cheek]
Broad: nice to meet you too
Louise: come in both of you, your dad will help with the luggage
Nadine’s dad Jeff comes out to help with the suitcases...Jeff: let me take those for you Dee (we can call her that for short) great to see you darling [smiles]
Nadine: [smiles] thanks dad
Nadine, Jeff, Louise, and broady go inside...Louise: so Stuart how have you been? You and Nadine getting on okay, I know she can be awkward at the best of times
Nadine: MOM!! [Smiles shyly]
Broad: oh yeah it's going great, I really like her
Nadine: [whispers] why do parents always have to embarrass you?
Broad: [whispers] because that what parents do
Nadine: it's embarrassing [she smiled]
Jeff was just about to speak when Stuart’s phone rang...Broad: I have to take this, be right back and [walked into the hall]
Nadine’s jaw dropped; how could broady be so rude? [Shocked]
To Broad on the phone...Broad: hello
Wrighty: hello mate it's Luke, thought I’d ring to see how the holiday's going?
Broad: the holiday alright I really don’t want to here those
Wrighty: why's that mate? It’s about time you met the in-laws [giggles]
Broad: very funny [laughs] I would prefer to be in England at the mo
Wrighty: so family life not living up to what you thought then?
Broad: not really, I doe think I should have answered your call; Nadine day look impressed when I walked out on her parents [blushed]
Wrighty: Ohh dear you know I don’t really like her so this means your gonna the night out
Broad: oh what night-out is that? Who’s going?
Wrighty: I, KP, jimmy, and we thought you might be able to make it but you're away
Broad: oh a lad's night is just what I need; can't it wait till I get back, only a few days away?
Wrighty: I suppose, so the lads should be fine with it, speak soon mate, bye
Broad: yeah speak soon bye
Broad goes back into the kitchen as he enters he sees that Louise and Jeff have popped out...Broad: where have your parents gone?
Nadine: they've gone out, who was on the phone.
Broad: oh it was just wrighty; we've planned on a night-out when we get back [looking at Nadine] what's wrong with you anyway you seem angry?
Nadine: it because the way you were rude to my parents & answer you phone
Broad: what, but I couldn't just leave it? Blooming hell you annoy me sometimes
Nadine: [looking upset] and now you wanna go home before we've been here a day
[Broad stormed off as he couldn't conceal his anger]
1 week later and broad and Nadine’s holiday had come to an end, they had tried to act friendly in front of her parents but deep down they were still at each other's throats...Broad: so we nearly back, [they were on the boat back to Liverpool]
Nadine: yeah [looking upset] [this was her and Stuart’s first real argument and she was scared of losing him because she loved him but broad seemed determined to pick a fight]
15 minutes later they arrive back in Liverpool broad bought the suitcases into their house...Nadine: look we need to talk Stuart, we can't carry on like this, I’m sorry for what I said
Broad: I can't do this now, [he picked up the phone, he needed to talk to Emma, she was always there for him and he knew she was a good listener]
Broad rings Emma...Emma: hello?
Broad: hello Emma it's me Stuart
Emma: long time know speak how are you
Broad: Not too bad, nice holiday and break but I and Nadine have fallen out
Emma: oh how have you two fallen out?
Broad: just because I was apparently being rude in front of her parents but all I did was answer the phone, you know me I go with the flow; I’m not going to change for her
Emma: yeah don’t change for her stay as you are yes I know you go with the flow if you answer the phone your gonna answer it
Broad: exactly see you always understand me [smiles to himself] I was wondering anyway would you like to come out with me and the lads tomorrow night?
Emma: [smiles to herself] yeah please get me out of this place
Broad: oh right what's wrong with you; is it Fernando or baby Chloe?
Emma: Chloe fine it Fernando he getting on my nerves
Broad: what's he doing? I know he can be a bit overprotective at times
Emma: that reason being to overprotective he keeps asking me how I am every 5 second it like can you stop asking me
Broad: oh it's the same with Nadine, she argues with me and then she is fine later, things can't just change, so how about tomorrow, looks like we could both do with a break [laughs] how about the cavern club?
Emma: yep we both need a break yeah sound prefect
Broad: so meet at wrighty's about 7:30 tomorrow?
Emma: yep will do you mean Wright as in Luke Wright
Broad: yeah you know the cricketer lad we went to school with?
Emma: yeah I know I will see tomorrow but I don’t know where he lives you should pick me up
Broad: yeah I can pick you up and take you in a taxi if you like, ain't gonna take car, getting [laughs]
Emma: no there no points yeah ok [laughs]
Broad: see you tomorrow then bye
Emma: bye
The morning of the lad’s night out and Nadine packing to stay at her friends Amy for couple of days...Nadine: so Stuart I’m going to Amy’s now, are you gonna be okay?
Broad: yeah I’ll be fine
Nadine: you still going out with the lads tonight?
Broad: yeah me, kp, jimmy, and Luke Wright
Nadine: okay well I’ll see you soon
Broad: bye [he said as though he wasn't really bothered; the atmosphere was bad and he and Nadine were drifting apart]
It night out time and Stuart Broad gone to pick Emma up from her house...Broad: heyya Emma, so you all ready, you look great
Emma: thanks, and yeah deffo, this night-out is all I need, just gonna Chloe good night [Emma goes & kisses Chloe and said goodbye & kisses Torres & whisper in his ear I love you]
Emma: I’m ready now
Broad: great the taxi's waiting just down there
The taxi arrives at wrighty house Emma hasn’t seen Luke Wright seen they left school...Broad: so here we are Hun, wrighty's house
Emma: oh I am nervous, ain't seen him in years, what if he doesn't like me, do I look okay? [She asked all of a shiver]
Broad: [laughed] don't panic he'll love you, why wouldn't he, come on
Emma: [smiles] ok I’m coming
Broad knocks on the door...Broad: heyya mate, [shakes hands with Luke] this is Emma
Luke: wow, Emma you've changed, it's so great to see you [hugs and kisses Emma]
Emma: Awww thanks great to see you too
Luke: you're lovely, be great to have a catch-up, it's been too long [smiles]
Emma: Awww thanks we deffo need to catch up
Luke, Emma and Stuart all got in the taxi and picked up kp and jimmy and then made their way to cavern club which was the nightclub they were going to...kp: this looks lovely, great place, lovely to see you again Emma
Jimmy: yeah same here, so who fancies a beer? [He asked as they walked in]
Broad: Ohh I would love a beer
Jimmy: I’m gonna have one too;
Broad: you sure? [looking shocked] make sure Daniella is okay with it first [he said laughing as he liked to make out he was under the thumb of his wife]
Jimmy: hey, I can make up my own mind [laughing as he playingly pushed broady]
Luke: so what we ordering?
Broad: we've got as far as jimmy for drinks haven’t asked anyone else
Emma: a white wine for me please
kp: and a pint of lager for me
Luke: yeah same here
Luke to barman: so that's 2 beers, 2 lagers, and 1 white wine please
barman: is that a pint?
Luke: yeah please a medium glass of wine, right Emma?
Emma: yeah thanks [smiled shyly]
barman: £15.50 please
Luke: here you go [hands money over]
barman: here your drinks
Luke: thanks mate [they all walk over and sit at a table]
Broad: oh look a party popper [he uses it and pops it by jimmy's ear]
Jimmy: [jumps] what the bleeding hell was that?
broad: [laughs] me!
Jimmy: ought to have known it was [smiles]
Broad: [smiles] haha
Luke talks to Emma for a catch up...Luke: so how have you been doing since school? What job you got, anything? Family? [smiles]
Emma: it been good I’m married to a footballer who plays for Liverpool he called Fernando Torres I don’t know if you've heard of him I gave birth to baby girl 2 months ago called Chloe how life with you
Luke: wow [shocked] I’ve saw him play, I’m a red as well, he is amazing, you're lucky to have each other, and a baby girl [cute smile] Awww I bet she's adorable. Not too bad, got a girlfriend called holly (made up) still play in ODI's for England, not much really
Emma: awww thanks she is adorable awww great [smiles]
Suddenly KP’s favourite song came on...kp: Ohh who wants a dance? love this song
Woman: I’ll dance with you [kp looked around and saw this woman looking at him, he didn't realise she'd been staring at him.. the woman pulled kp off his seat and they went to dance]
Luke: look like he's in there [laughs]
Jimmy: not funny, what will jess say?
Broad: oh don’t be such party poopers [laughs]
Jimmy: I’m not I hope jess doesn’t find out
Emma: oh she won't only a laugh
Broad: come on Emma let's dance
Emma: yeah ok fine
Broad & Emma are dancing on the dancefloor...Broad: so you having a good night [talking as they dance]
Emma: I’m having a wonderful night thanks and yourself
Broad: yeah great to get away from Nadine I must say, starting to think she ain't right for me [looks solemn]
Emma: oh dear I’ll take it you’re not still not getting on
Broad: she's just starting to change, but you know me I’m not a committed type, apart from if it's the right woman
Emma: same with me, I love Fernando but he's annoying me being overprotective
Broad: I’m sure the will stop being overprotective soon
Emma: so what Nadine up tonight
Broad: oh she's gone to her friend Amy’s house to give us both some space for a couple of days
Emma: oh right that might be good for both of you
Emma and broad go back over to an exhausted Kevin Pietersen after dancing with the mystery woman and jimmy and Luke...Jimmy: you ok kp [laughs]
Kevin: just about can't wait to go from that woman, shall we go to that other bar up the road
Wrighty: yeah sure, sounds like fun, let's go [they all left and went to the other bar, had some drinks and food, but by 12:00am they wanted to leave and go home]
Wrighty: I think we better of hitting home now
Jimmy: me too, you know what Danni’s like, wondering where I am
Broady: as if you liar, she's laid back you just wanna get your leg over [laughs]
Jimmy: [blushing] I’m not like that, so see you lads [and he went in the taxi up the road]
Wrighty: it was wonderful to see you again hope I see you soon
Emma: Ohh definitely
Broad: I better be off now
Emma: & me
Emma & Broad leave together...Broad: so do you fancy coming back to mine for a bit for a drink? No Nadine so we can have a laugh, I’ve even got that box of twister we can play [laughs as he remembers the times they've played before]
Emma: yeah go on then
Broad and Emma goes back to his place in a taxi, they're feeling quite drunk...Broad: so here we lar
Emma: [laughs] I think you're drunk, come on let's get you in
Broad: yeah I think I am
In broad house...Broad: so here's twister
Emma: here's some wine, great combination [Broad and Emma have a game of twister and some wine and get even tipsier]
Broad: blimey I am shattered after that
Emma: me too, anyway I better be going [Emma goes to go but Stuart pulls her back]
Broad: thanks so much for tonight, I really do love you
Emma: Awww you're amazing too [smiles] [Broad stare into Emma eyes for 5 seconds then kisses her]
Emma: what are you doing? [Shocked]
Broad: I thought that's what you wanted; I know you love me too
Emma: well... it... [Broad goes to kiss her again]
[Emma responds to Stuart and they are soon kissing and he leads her upstairs; at first Emma is reluctant because of Fernando, but she has felt like this for a long time and she can't help herself]
Morning after the night before...[Emma wakes up and sees Stuart sleeping next to her]
Emma says to herself: I can't believe I did this, what about Fernando and Chloe?
[Emma wakes broad up]
Broad: so you okay? I really enjoyed last night
Emma: no I’m not I can’t believe what I’ve done
broad: but this is what we both wanted, you weren't saying this last night [looks shocked] we need to tell Fernando, you have feelings for me, you always have, we both know that [Stuart tries to kiss her to reassure her but Emma pulls away]
Emma: no I can't do this now, I need time to think [she rushes out of the bedroom, out the house and slams the door]
Emma arrives back at her & Torres house... [She walk-in...]
Torres: hey darling, where did you get to last night?
Emma: [pushing keys on table by the door] oh sorry [looking flustered] I got pretty drunk and crashed on Stuart’s sofa
Torres: oh right, so did you have a good night out?
Emma: yeah it was good night thanks how was Chloe
Torres: yeah she wasn't too bad, so was it just you and Stuart who went or did someone else go? [He knew he had to ask; he remembered the last time something had happened with Stuart, he just hoped that Emma being a mother and being married now would change her]
Emma: there was me, broad, kp, jimmy & my old school friend Luke Wright
Torres: Ohh right sounds good [smiles] [they both went to bed after checking on Chloe].
